Re: Cost -of -Living Rate Adjustment for the Town of Los Altos Hills
Dear Carl:
As outlined in section 12.4 of the solid waste franchise agreement, the annual adjustment is
October 1St of every year based on 80% of CPI for the period od April 1St -March 31St. Based on
the attached CPI document for the period of April 2006 -March 2007, this years rate increase will
be 2.66%.
On the prior rate increases, per the direction of the Town, we did not adjust the rates charged to
customers and LAGCo's annual increase was adjusted on the monthly remittance sent back to the
Town due to the surplus in the Town's solid waste fund.
