DISCUSSION
At the meeting of July 20, 2006, the Planning Commission directed staff to prepare a
quarterly summary of solar photovoltaic permits approved by the Planning and Building
Departments and present it to the Commission for review. This report tracks the
implementation of the Town's solar ordinance for the months of July through September
2006.
• Fourteen (14) site development and building permits have been issued for the
construction of solar panels.
• Ten (10) roof mounted solar building permits and four (4) ground mounted solar
building permits have been issued.
• The average size of the solar panels is 530 square feet.
• One permit was approved for a development area bonus of 500 square feet per
Section 10-1.502.b.6 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code.
• Three permits were approved to take advantage of the development area
exemption per Section 10-1.502.b.5 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code.
