RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH PALAMERICAN PRIVATE SECURITY FOR PATROL
SERVICES IN FY 2024-25
WHEREAS, In April 2023, the Town entered into a contract with PalAmerican Private Security
(previously known as Genesis Safety) for patrol services in Town; and
WHEREAS, the contract began with 2 shifts per day, 7 days a week and was then increased in
September 2023 to 4 shifts per day, 7 days a week; and
WHEREAS, the Town budgeted $550,000 for private security patrol services in FY2024-25; and
WHEREAS, in response to a decrease of crime in Town, on January 30, 2025, the City Council
directed staff to reduce the number of shifts per day from 4 shifts to 3 shifts.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does hereby authorize the
City Manager on behalf of the Town to execute the Agreement between the Town of Los Altos
Hills and PalAmerican Private Security for the continued service of private security patrols in
Town for FY 2024-25.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of
Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of February 2025 by the following vote:
