RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE EXISTING MICHAEL BAKER
INTERNATIONAL INC CONTRACT TERM UNTIL JUNE 30, 2026, AND EXPANSION OF
THE CONTRACT TO INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL $256,000 TRANSFER AND
APPROPRIATION FROM GENERAL FUND UNASSIGNED FUND BALANCE TO THE
HOUSING ELEMENT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, in March 2023 the Town entered into an agreement with Michael Baker International
Inc (MBI) for planning services to support the Town's Housing Element implementation; and
WHEREAS, on March 20, 2025, the City Council approved an amendment to the Housing Element
and directed staff to expand implementation options, requiring additional support to carry out the
updated goals and policies; and
WHEREAS, to accommodate the increase in service, the MBI Inc. contract would need to be
extended, and additional funds appropriated to the contract, and
WHEREAS, to accommodate said appropriation additional funds are needed to be transferred from
General Fund Unassigned Fund Balance to the Housing Element Capital Improvement Program
(CIP).
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby extends the duration
of the revised MBI Inc. contract until June 30, 2026, and expands the scope of work to include the
amendment of the Housing Element, amendment of the Land Use Element, as well as run the
necessary Zoning Ordinance Amendment, Objective Design Standards and subsequent
Environmental Impact Report. To accomplish said work the council also authorizes the transfer and
appropriation of $256,000 from the Town's General Fund Unassigned Fund Balance to the Housing
Element CIP for the revised MBI Inc. contract.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los
Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on 17th of April 2025 by the following vote:
