RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
APPROVING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE OPEN SPACE STEWARDSHIP AND
EDUCATION AGREEMENT WITH GRASSROOTS ECOLOGY FOR A TWO-YEAR TERM
EXTENSION NOT TO EXCEED $205,659
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the Town of Los Altos Hills has reviewed the proposal
submitted by Grassroots Ecology for the two-year agreement extension to stewardship services and
public outreach activities in Town -owned open spaces; and
WHEREAS, on March 19, 2025, the Open Space Committee recommended that the two- year
extension for Grassroots Ecology be approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director recommends that a two-year agreement extension be awarded
to Grassroots Ecology in the amount of $205,659, increasing the total contract amount to $495,234.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills that the
two-year extension to the Open Space Stewardship and Education Agreement with Grassroots Ecology
is approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the First Amendment
to the agreement with Grassroots Ecology attached herein on behalf of the Town of Los Altos Hills.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los
Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on 15th day of May 2025 by the following vote:
AYES: TANKHA, BHATEJA, MOK, SWAN, TYSON
