DISCUSSION
At the meeting of July 20, 2006, the Planning Commission directed staff to prepare a
quarterly summary of solar photovoltaic permits approved by the Planning and Building
Departments and present it to the Commission for review. This report tracks the
implementation of the Town's solar ordinance for the months of October though
December 2006.
• A total of nine (9) site development and building permits have been issued for the
construction of solar panels:
Roof mounted
7
Ground mounted
2
Solar trackers
0

• The average size of the solar panels that were constructed is 634 square feet.
• Two permits were approved with a 500 sq. ft. development area exemption per
Section 10-1.502.b.5 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code.
• One permit was approved with the 500 sq. ft. development area bonus per Section
10-1.502 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code.
