RESOLUTION AMENDING THE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK TO ESTABLISH A JULY
1 COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT (COLA) SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the Employee Handbook (the "Handbook") is an essential document for the effective and
efficient operation of the Town by providing the Personnel Rules and Regulations and the
Classification and Compensation Plan; and
WHEREAS, periodically updating the Handbook is necessary to ensure compliance with the law and
adherence to best practices; and
WHEREAS, the last comprehensive review and update of the Handbook was in 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Handbook has been reviewed and updated in 2026 to reflect additional modifications
necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the Town.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills
hereby adopts the amended Employee Handbook including the Personnel Rules and Regulations and
Employee Classifications and Compensation Plan, included as Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all prior versions of the Employee Handbook shall be of no
further force or effect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its
adoption.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los
Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 14th of May 2026 by the following vote:
AYES: BHATEJA, TYSON, MOK, SWAN, TANKHA
NOES: NONE
ABSTAIN: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
