RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SELECTRON
TECHNOLOGIES, INC. TO PURCHASE A NOTIFICATIONS AND ONLINE INSPECTION
SCHEDULING SOFTWARE
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills seeks to ensure the accessibility of residents, contractors and
designers to their permits and ensure the ability to schedule, cancel and review inspections and directly
communicate with permitting system; and
WHEREAS, there is a need in the Town's inspection and building software capabilities that at present
don't allow automatic notifications or scheduling directly through text messaging and require user to
work through other procedures prior to scheduling an inspection; and
WHEREAS, the 2026-27 City Council Work Plan identifies enhancement and the modernization of the
Town's building software, and improvement of Town's residential and contractor permitting systems as
key strategic priorities; and
WHEREAS, CentralSquare Technologies, the Town's permitting software vendor, has designated
Selectron Technologies, Inc. as the exclusive provider of integrated notification, text messaging, and
Interactive Voice Response (IVR) inspection scheduling services for its permitting platform; and
WHEREAS, Selectron is therefore the only vendor capable of providing these services through a direct
and fully integrated connection to the Town's permitting system; and
WHEREAS, following its review of the proposed services, the Technology Committee recommended
implementation of the text messaging, notification, and inspection scheduling solution, subject to a one-
year opt -out provision; and
WHEREAS, Selectron Technologies, Inc submitted a competitive quote utilizing the software platform,
providing the most technically sound solution for installation with a one-year opt -out; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost for the SelecTXT and Relay Permits Pack not to exceed $69,763.65,
funded through the FY 2026-27 Community Development, Department's Computer Software budget
account; and
WHEREAS, designating Selectron Technologies Inc as the preferred vendor for future Town inspection
scheduling software will ensure system consistency, streamlined maintenance, long-term cost efficiency
and compatibility with the town's permitting system; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos does hereby
authorize the City Manager to execute a contract for a three-year contract with Selectron Technologies,
Inc. in an amount not to exceed $69,763.65, for the installation and configuration of the inspection
scheduling software and notification system.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the Town of Los
Altos Hills at a regular meeting held on the 181h day of June 2026 by the following vote:
