We are opposed to the renewal of the permit for the wireless antenna at 26140 Duval
Way. We are opposed to this for the same reasons we opposed the original permit; there
are too many cellular antenna on our around Duval Way and it hurts property values. By
concentrating four antennas in our neighborhood we bear a disproportionate financial
burden relative to other residents. Everyone wants cellular service from their home but
nobody wants to live next to multiple antenna.
Having 4 antennas does not serve the residents who live on Duval Way. The benefit of
having perfect cellular service from four carriers does not outweigh the cost of lower
property value. This antenna was originally approved by a previous city council that felt
that the residents should have access to cellular service. Unfortunately everyone who
benefited from this antenna already had service from three other carriers and everyone in
town who had no service from any carrier got no benefit.
I would request that if the company wants an antenna in the area that it be moved farther
from Duval Way to mitigate its affect on the value of our homes.
