Pictures are attached that show the central shaft of the proposed crane. Because of the limitations of the demonstration, the photos cannot show the true visual impact of the crane. There are 2 additional photos that show an approArnately similar view prior to the erection of the demonstration. Our concerns specifically states as: • There has been no attempt to determine the impact on our living situation. This is disturbing in light of the consideration and deference that the Malivalli family has previously demonstrated. • Independent of the crane, we will be subject to significant traffic and noise. We are willing to accept that knowing that it is only during working hours. Our evenings and weekends will not be significantly affected. This is not true of the proposed crane. It will steal all our private enjoyment of the Hills even when construction is halted. Beyond the impact on life in Los Altos Hills, it will have financial impact on the valuation of our home during the project. We understand the need for a crane for significant periods of the construction. We understand a truck -mounted crane can be used, but there are concems for the roads and traffic if the crane was brought on site as needed. It is unclear why, with more than eight acres of land, a truck mounted crane can not be kept on the property for the duration of the project. It is our request that the Malavalli project use a truck -mounted crane and that the crane be lowered at night and not used on weekends. Sincerely David M.
