clarify 3rd para. to read:
Check List was prepared. Planning
Commission will require a planting plan
for the length of Westridge Court (low
planting to be used on the street itself)
and in addition a full landscaring plan for
the turnaround area, so as to hide any of
the cuts and fills which are a part of this
turnaround area."
ACTION:
That the i;inutes of March 28, 1966 be

clarifying the provisions of Section '74.5 of Assembly Bill 7o.
3404 (adoption of State highway routes by the Legislature).

on the first meating of the Slid -Peninsula Foothills 7lanning
Committee. This meehin7 explored the extent of the Committee
and definite means of weeping the Foothills green. hIt"ough
cluster was discussed ns being desirable, Commissioner Benson
assured the Commission this Committee does not intend to than,,::
the identity of any one ca---:muni_ty, but to Fl -.n for the overall
pictare.
Chairman Hibner, who also attended, co=ented this will be e
continuing meeting on the first Thursday of everymonth at T'zlo
11to City Hall and i,r'..cas on zoning, density, horse tr::ils and
better overall fireprotection will be expounded. :".t the Play
meetin,, the philosophy of zoning will be discussed and Staff
from each City is invited to attend. There also will be a fee
of possibly U5.0C per meeting; to meet secretarial and staff
expenses.
I?ayor Henley, Council representative, expressed the; view that
these important meetings should be supported within reasonable
ar_ounts.

In view of the need for a policy statement, as well as a simpler
method of preparing the plot plan for the more obvious ratluests,
the following recorae:endations were submitted:

That the following statement be "boxed" on the
existing variance/use permit application:
"jithout knowing the use for u:hich the appli-
cation is being requested, it is impossible to
determine in advance whether certain of the
above information will be relevant; therefore,
if the applicant wishes to delete certain in-
formation on the theory that it is not relevant
to the application, he may do so at the risk of
having the Flenning Commission delay the arr.li-
cation by requiring the additional information.
However, if all of the information is provided,
the application will be revio,aed by the Planning
Commission without delay.

USS P^RT'.ITS:
1. Fremont Hills Count ry__Club (UI -250-66) - Renuest for
Tennis Courts.
Applicant is requesting three additional tennis courts and an
extension of the existing service road to Roble .Ladere as
shown on plot plan.
Staff had no objection to the tennis courts, but opposed the
proposal to change the entry to the service road at a critical
point on Roble Laders.
Following discussion of the map, PI?nning Commission concurred
the entry of the service road wes an engineering problem.
TMCOrl TTM'TION :
That the request of Fremont Hills Country Club
(UI -250-66) for three additional tennis courts
be approved, but,
If it is necessary that the existing service road
be changed to the proposed road as shown, that
the City Engineer survey the safety aspects of
this change and the Cite Council not approve the
tennis courts until it is convinced that the change
can be made safely.

Chairman Hibner questioned whether the present procedure of
giving public notice to the Town's people on items of the
Ggenda is sufficient and proposed that funds be expanded to

of such an expenditure, while P -r. E. L. Breyman, 13456 Wild -
crest Drive, opposed the proposal, suggesting tho '.genda be

Eayor Henley suggested Chairman Hibner contact the local
rev;spapers regardinl- such publicity and the cost, if any, and
submit a written report to the Council.
