RESOLUTION NO. 34 - 04
A RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE JOB DESCRIPTION OF
YOUTH COMMISSIONER
FOR THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of Santa
Clara, State of California, as follows:
That Resolution 23-89 establishing the position of Youth Commissioner is
hereby revised as to the duties itemized in Article 2 as follows:
2. The Youth Commissioner, who shall be appointed by the City Council,
shall have the following duties:
a) To act as an Advocate for youth services in the Town;
b) To coordinate youth participation and volunteerism in community-wide
activities;
c) To act as a direct liaison between the Town of Los Altos Hills and youth
participation in the community;
d) To promote education regarding substance abuse and other negative
influences;
e) To act in the capacity of an Associate Member of the Community
Relations Committee;
f) To act as a contributor to the Town Newsletter;
g) To identify a successor upon graduation or departure;
h) To perform such other duties as may be assigned by the City Council.
As used in this resolution, the term Youth refers to persons who are 18 years of
age, or younger.
