A Resolution of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills
Supporting Co-Sponsorship of a Forum
on Public Employee Benefit Costs with the
Foothill-DeAnza Community College District
WHEREAS,the Foothill-DeAnza Community College District and the Town of
Los Altos Hills share certain common concerns regarding the sharply rising costs of
public employee benefits; and
WHEREAS,interest in this issue among neighboring cities,towns and special
districts is strong; and
WHEREAS,the Foothill-De Anza Community College District has teaching and
conference facilities located within the Town of Los Altos Hills.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Los Altos Hills
proposes to co-sponsor a forum in the fall of 2004 concerning rising public sector
employee benefit costs with the Foothill-De Anza Community College District. The
purpose of the forum is to educate, inform and draw input on public agency benefits from
other public sector managers and elected representatives.
