TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS
RESOLUTION NO. 8%—0 4
RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT PURCHASE OF NEW TOWN HALL
FURNITURE THROUGH LOCAL AGENCY COMPETITIVE PROCUMENT
WHEREAS,the Town of Los Altos Hills desires to procure furniture and
necessary appurtenances for the New Town Hall project; and
WHEREAS,the New Town Hall Committee has approved specifications for the
purchase of furniture for the New Town Hall project; and
WHEREAS,the Town desires to purchase this furniture through a competitive
bidding process pursuant to the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code("Code"); and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 252, codified in Section No. 2-4.08 of the Code
authorizes the Town to purchase of supplies,materials, equipment, or other personal
property,jointly with another public agency,provided that the other agency has solicited
or advertised for bids in a manner similar to the Town's procedures; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Town of Los Altos Hill to procure
said furniture through a competitive process as provided for in the Code;
NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills does resolve as
follows:
1. That the Town of Los Altos Hills may participate,together with any other
City, County, or other public agency, in the purchase of supplies,materials,
equipment, or other personal property, reasonably necessary to furnish the
New Town Hall of the Town of Los Altos Hills pursuant to the specifications
approved by the City Council; and
2. That the City Manager be authorized to issue a purchase order and/or expend
the necessary budgeted funds; and that the New Town Hall subcommittee be
authorized to execute the relevant documents necessary to participate in the
joint purchase of said furniture and furnishings consistent with the Code;
