HomeMy WebLinkAbout27-12 • • RESOLUTION NO. 27-12 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS SETTING A DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF ANNEXATION OF AREA DESIGNATED "OLIVE TREE HILL NO.1" CONSISTING OF 31.7 ACRES LOCATED ON THE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY OF LOS ALTOS HILLS WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills ("Town") adopted an "island" annexation schedule; and WHEREAS,the property, 31.7 acres on the southern side of Los Altos Hills(APN: see Exhibit"A")is contiguous to the Town of Los Altos Hills and is within its urban service area;and WHEREAS, annexation would provide for use of Town services; and WHEREAS, this territory was pre-zoned on April 19, 2012 to the Town of Los Altos Hills' R- A(Residential Agricultural) zone district; and WHEREAS,the proposed annexation is subject to CEQA guidelines and a Negative Declaration and Initial Study has been prepared; and WHEREAS, the County Surveyor of Santa Clara county has found the map and description (Exhibit "B") to be in accordance with Government Code Section 56757, the boundaries to be definite and certain, and the proposal to be in compliance with LAFCO's road annexation policies; and WHEREAS, as provided in Government Code Section 56757, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills shall be the conducting authority for a reorganization including an annexation to the Town; and WHEREAS, as provided in Government Code Section 56375.3, the City Council may approve the proposed annexation without protest or elections at a public hearing with notice as it meets the criteria for Island Annexations. EXHIBIT"A" ANNEXATION TO THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS LAH03—OLIVE TREE HILL NO. 1 GEOGRAPHIC DESCRIPTION •All that certain real property situated in the County of Santa Clara, State of California, being a portion of Lot 8 as said lot is shown on that certain map entitled "Map of the Partition of a Part of the San Antonio Rancho for F.G. Sanborn and N.J.
