ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Brown, Perkins (6:45 pm), Chairman Schick Absent: None Staff: City Engineer Alec Russell, City Planner/Building Inspector Ken Pastrof, Planning Commission Secretary Kate Tenney B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: June 11, 1975 Chairman Schick asked, on page 2 under New Business, first paragraph, first line, to add the word "recommendations" after "Pathway Committee". In the next sentence, the word "request" should be "requests". There Ct being no further corrections Chairman Schick declared the minutes of June 11, 1975 approved as corrected. C. REQUEST FOR CONTINUANCE: Ken Pastrof stated that due to the work load, Staff request continuance for the two BS4's, Lands of Taylor and Lands of Jensen. Commissioner Brown moved, seconded by Chairman Schick, to continue the Lands of Jensen and Lands of Taylor request for BSA to the next regular scheduled meeting of the Variance and Permit Commission of July 9, 1975. (changed to July 10, 1975) Motion carried unanimously. D. BUILDING SITE APPROVAL: 1. Lands of Benders, Via Ventana, APP! #182-42-031, Harrison and Assoc., Engineers, BSA -6046-75 Ire:: Staff Memo June 20, 1975, Ken Pastrof, City Planner/Building Mr. Pastrof noted that Staff had no further comments to add to the Staff memo presented to the Commission. Commissioner Schick questioned Condition 04, noting that a Type II 4W (a) path would negate the use of the path to bicyclist. VARIANCE AND PERMIT COMMISSION - June 25, 1975 Commissioner Brown and Chairman Schick directed Condition #4 to be changed from a Type II (a) path (4"crushed rock) to a Tyne I (a) path (native, un -compacted). Commissioner Brown moved, seconded by Commissioner Schick, to recommend to Council approval of the Lands of Benders, BSA -6046-75, with Staff conditions 1 thru 5 inclusive and condition 4 changed to read a Type I (a) path. Motion carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: Commissioner Brown, Chairman Schick NOES: None ABSENT: Commissioner Perkins 2. Lands of Blanton, Robleda and Purissima, Sidney Mitchell, Engineer, BSA -6042-75 (ref: Staff Memo, June 20, 1975, Ken Pastrof, City Planner/Building Inspector) Mr. Pastrof noted that Staff nad no further comments to add to the Staff memo presented to the Commission. `. Mr. Dave Blanton, applicant, requested an explanation on the meaning of Condition #6. Discussion ensued regarding the type of path required for public use, whether it should be for horses or bikes, and the path system on Purissima in general. Commissioner Perkins stated he felt a path -in -lieu fee should be required rather than a path constructed as the path system on Purissima was not "straightened out". The Commission agreed to change condition 6 from a Type II (a) path requirement to payment of a path -in -lieu fee. Commissioner Brown moved, seconded by Commissioner Schick, to recommend to Council the approval of Lands of Blanton, BSA -6042-75 with the Staff recommended conditions 1 thru 10 inclusive, with Condition #6 changed from a Type II (a) path requirement to pay- ment of a path -in -lieu fee. Motion carried by the following roll call vote: AYES: Commissioner Brawn, Chairman Schick NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: Commissioner Perkins (as he missed the beginning of the discussion) E. NEW BUSINESS: Mr. Stutz, Chairman of the Pathway Committee, asked that the minutes show his concern for the first item on the Agenda, Lands of Benders, - 2 - t VARIANCE AND PERMIT COMMISSIION - June 25, 1975 as the item was moved on prior to his arrival. There being no further business, Chairman Schick adjourned the meeting to the next regular meeting of the Variance and Permit Commission, scheduled for July 9, 1975.
