Chairman Brown called the meeting of the Variance and Permit Commission to
order at 6:47 pm in the Council Chambers at Town '.fall, 26379 Fremont load:
A. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Carico, Perkins, Chairman BTrnm

Staff: City Engineer Alec Russell, City Planner/Building Inspector
Ken Pastrof, Planning Commission Secretary Kate Tenney

Chairman Broom declared the "inutes of June 25, 1975 annroved as submitted.
` C. BUILDING SITE APPROVAL:

'M. Pastrof stated Staff had no further comments to add to the meso
nresented. to Commission.
'Ir. Ta;Qor, anplicant, agreed with the Staff conditions as submitted.
Ih•. Bob Stutz, Chairman of the Pat'uway Committee, spoke to the various
conditions as proposed by Staff,
'Ir. Lachenbruch, Buena Vista, noted to the Commission that no nublic
easement existed, and asked that an explanation for waivin7 Ordinance
180 be added to Conjissions motion on Lands of Taylor.
Discussion ensued rerzarding Ordinance 180, the fire Protection District
conditions, road improvement, and Pathways.
Commissioner Carico moved, seconded by Commissioner Perkins, to
recommend to Council approval of the Lands of Taylor, BSA -6045-75,
with the Staff conditions as follows: Conditions 1 thru 5 inclusive
as submitted by Staff, condition 6 to read: 6) Los Altos Fire
Protection District: a) Install one fire hydrant on Puena Vista at

a point selected by the Tire ')enartment. The hydrant shall be
connected to PIIC,D main. b) Payment of $60.00 to Fire District
for hydrant stand-by charges, c) I'ernval of combustible brush
from around the propose(l residence for a distance as prescribed
by the Fire Department. d) Location, direction, and size of
emergency easement to be deferred until Lands of Taylor are
submitted for subdivision. e) Items a,b, and c shall be accomp-
lished. prior to occupancy of residence. Condition 7 to read:
Location, direction and size of natheasenents to be deferred until
the Lands of Taylor are submitted for subdivision, at request of
applicant, with dedication of a 10' hath easement adjacent to, and
orrer, the southerly half of Central Drive. Conditions 8 and 9
inclusive as submitted by Staff. The Commission �.r:rived Ordinance
180 (re: 1. length of cul-de-sac, more than five lots served off
a private road, and width of road). 'lotion carried by the following

11r. Pastrof state<i Staff had no further torments to add to the memo
submitted to Commission, but did have a correction on page 3, nwnber
3, second line, Lands of Kryter should be Lands of Peers.
'lr. and. Pers. Jensen spoke in onnosition to Conditions 6A (a) and
7, pathway request.

Discussion ensued regarding condition 6 (vire Protection nistrict
request) and condition 7 (path request)
Commissioner Perkins moved, seconded by Commissioner Carico, to
recommend to Council approval of Lands of .Tensen, ^S.4-6-47-75, with
the .Staff conditions as follars: Conditions 1 thm 5 inclusive as
submitted by Staff, condition 6 to read: Los Altos Fire Protection
District request: a) %cord 20' wide emergency access alone westerly
property boundary only. b) (timer agrees to narticinate in the
ff04,, tmgradinq of Campo Vista Lane at such time as neighboring nroperties
✓ are developed. Condition 7 to read: Dedicate a 10' path easement
along the southerly boundary from the Lands of Lenzen to the Lands

withdrawn. Conditions 8 and 9 inclusive as submitted by Staff.
Cormussion waived Ordinance 180 (as stated in Preceding motion).
