Chairman Young called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. In the Council Chambers, Town Hall, Los Altos Hills, California. A. ROLL CALL Chairman K. Young, Commissi overs D. Proft and T. Schick. ellp Also Present: K. R. Pastrof, ownaPlanner; D. Pennington 1Secrettary. Chairman Young asked that anyone speaking address himself to the Chair only. LANDS OF SAVIANO - Continued from meeting of January 14, 1976 Commissioner Proft stepped down and did not take part in the discussion, because of a possible conflict of interest. PUBLIC HEARING Chairman Young re -opened the Public Hearing. It was noted that Mr. N. Philbr c had been advised of the revised plan submitted by the Savianos as the Commission had directed at their meeting of January 14, 1976, and that there had been no response from Mr. Philbrick. The Commission also noted that It had a letter from the Savianos giving the reasons for their request for a distance of fifteen feet between the house and the tennis court. Basically, s it was to gain space for fire truck maneuverability (In case of a fire), and for a small pool, they wanted to add later on. Commissioner Schick asked If Staff were satlsifled that all six of the conditions, listed in the Municipal Code, for variance approval had been met. Mr. Pastrof advised that the wording was that the Board of Planning Administration (this Commission) shall grant the requested variance in whole or in part from the facts presented In connection with the application or at the Public Hearing. He stated that it was Staff's contention, therefore, that It did not have to make a recommendation. The Chairman recognized Mrs. Dom lnlc Saviano. The motion carried unanimously by Roll Call vote. Chairman Young recognized Planning Commission Chairman Carico. She stated that the Commission had a Building Site Approval request in front of it. Part of that request is an Environmental Impact Report. On Page 299-7 of the Municipal Code book, it defines historical site. The Code says "that It shall be the policy of the Town to encourage property developers and owners to adhere to the spirit of the provisions of this Chapter, as well as the compattb le policies established under the National Environmental Q� Policy Act, and all other applicable State and Federal laws.
