Chairman Proft called the meeting to order at 7:25 p.m. In the Council Chambers, Town Hall, Los Altos Hills, California. A. ROLL CALL: Chalrman David Proft, Commissioner Keith Brown Also Present: A. D. Russell, City Engineer; K. R. Pastrof, Town Planner; and D. Pennington, Secretary. Absent: Commissioner Theodora Schick B. CONSENT CALENDAR: A royal of the minutes of January 14 28 and 29 1976. Since there was only one member present who was on the Variance and Permit Commission during the month of January, Chairman Proft moved, seconded by commissioner Brown, that the meeting be adjourned until after the Planning Commission meeting, so that the former Chairman of the Variance and Permit Commission, Planning Commissioner Kenneth Young, could again act as a member of this Commission. MOTICN: Chairman Proft moved, seconded by Commissioner Young, that the minutes of the meeting of January 14, 1976 be approved as corrected. The moil on passed on the following vote: AYES: Chairman Proft and Commissioner Young NOES: None ABSTAIN: Commissioner Brown* APPROVAL OFTHE MINUTES OF JANUARY 28 197 The minutes of the meeting of January 28, 1976 were corrected as follows: Page One Flrst Paragraph finder "LANDS OF SAVI Add a final phrase to the first sentence. since both he and Mrs. Dominick Saviano were candidates for the City Council." Page Two Second Paragraph under "LANDS OF ROSSI." The next to the last phrase of the first sentence should read: 11 . report was that only one artifact was found." STRIKE the last phrase of the first sentence In the aforementioned paragraph. MOT ICN: Chaff man Proft moved, seconded by Commissioner Young, that the minutes of the meeting of January 28, 1976 be approved as corrected. The mots of passed on the following vote: AYES: Chairman Proft and Commissioner Young NOES: None ABSTAIN: Commissioner Brown* APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF JANUARY 29, 1976 that the minutes MOTION: Chairman Proft moved, seconded b Commissi Doer Young, be approved as written. The motion passed by the following vote: AYES: Chairman Proft and Commissioner Young NOES: None ABSTAIN: Commissioner Brown* *commissl oner Brown abstained from voting because he was not at the meeting. - 2 - VARIANCE AND PERMIT COMiSSION MINUTES - February 25, 1976 BUSINESS: ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN It was noted that tradi tl ovally, the Vice Chairman assumes the role of Chairman -hen that person has completed his term of office. 110T I ON Due to the Impending election for the City Councl 1, and the fact that both he and Chairman Proft were candidates, Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Young, moved that the Election of the Vice Chairman be tabled until the next regularly scheduled meeting. The motion passed unanimously. D. ADJOURNMENT: 10:15 P.M. There being no further business, It was moved, seconded, and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned.
