OF LOS A. -,TOS HILLS MINUTES OF A 3FuiILAR T".E^TING May 21, 1960 The Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission of the Town of Los Altos Hills was called to order Saturday, May 21, 1960 at 8:45 A. M. by Acting Chairman Alexander C. Prentice, Jr. at the Town Hall, 26379 W. Fremont .Avenue, Los Altos Hill. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Commissioners Hibner, Stevens, Williams, Acting Chairman Prentice ABSENT: Commissioners Alter, Mellquist, Chairman Dawson MINUTES: May 5, 1960. ACTION: Adopt Minutes of May 5, 1960 as submitted. MOTION: Hibner; SECOND: Stevens; VOTE: Passed unanimously, 1. Goodwin B. Steinber - Letter, dated May 1, 1960 from Architect or Congregation Beth Am, requesting approval of roofing material for buildings to be constructed. RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission approve the application of Con- gregation Beth Am for a shake roof per the recommendation of Fire Chief Bassett for heavy red wood shakes for their en- tire building project. MOTION: Williams; SECOND: Stevens; VOTE: Passed unanimously 2. H.— . H. F.ertz - Let'er, dated May 10, 1960, requested an appointment wiitS-VE 1Rap Committee to discuss the relocation of access road on his property. Mr. %ertz will be notified that the Map Committee meeting will be. held Tuesday, May 31, 1960 at 4 r. M. at which time he may appear. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Division of Land: a) Fremont Hills Unit No. 6 (160-60) - Engr. L. G. Brian. Mr. J. Clegg, Engineer, and Mr. L. Hine, Developer, were present. Following the discussion of the lengths of easements, access to various lots, size of lots, and location of Street "A", the following recommendation was made: Fremont Hills cont'd. RECOffED?DITION: That the Plenning Comni.ssion approve the street alignment of Street "A", connecting Furissima and Elena Avenues in the Fremont Hills Unit 6 Map (160-60) on map designated as D -105 - MOTION: Williams; S^CO"?D: Hibner; VOTE: Passed unanimously The Engineer was asked to redraw the map without the contour lines. The Map Committee will make an on site inspection at its next meeting (Tues., May 31, 1960 at 2 P. 14.). NEW BUSINESS: Variances: 1. Sabo John & Thelma V- 9-60 - Request to Excavate Within Two eet of the Froperty ine for Building Site. Approval was received all the adjacent owners. That the request of John & Thelma Sabo (V-59-60) to excavate within two (2) feet of the property line -for a building site be approved. MOTION: Stevens; SECOND: Williams; VOTE: Passed unanimously DIVISIONS OF LAND: 1. McFarland Keith - 2 lots. Request for Vaiver of Provisions of ection 0 of Ordinance No. 35• Engr. M. 'Jolff. RECOMME@TD ATION: That the division of land of Keith McParland, 2 lots, re- questing waiver of the provisions of Section 3:40 of Ordi- nance No. 35 be approved with the stipulation that an addi- tional ten (10) feet be dedicated along the total property on Is Paloma avenue and that the two -acre portion be design- nated as 'not a building site', citing Ordinance No. 35, Section 3:40.
