Altos Hills was called to order at the Town Hall, 26379 West Fremont Avenue, Los Altos Hills. gnT,L CALF,: PRESENT: Commissioners Alter, Hawley, Mellquist, Stevens, Chairman Hibner ABSENT: Commissioners Bowler, Prentice MT_NUTSS: November 1960. ACTION: Adopt Minutes of November 3, 1960 as submitted. COMMUPTICATIONS: 1. Peninsula Bowmans' Association, Inc. - Letter requesting rene'l for o` Use Permit --T+'%5- the period Jan. 1, 1961 to June 1 1961. RCOMME?'-DATION: That the request of the Peninsula Bowmans' Assn., Inc. for renewal of Use Permit (V-47-59) for the period Jan. 1, 1961 to June 1, 1961.be approved. MOTION: Stevens; SECOND: Alter; VOTE: Passed unanimously ANNOUTCE"��`TTS: None. OLD BUSINESS: 1. �'nlicDavid E (170-60) 2 lots. Engr. Mark Thomas. The new map had not been received, so recommendation was deferred, 2. KennePy.Vincent B (171-60) 5 lots. Engrs. Mastin & Kingston. Revised map of 5 lots was considered. The suggestion was made that a covenant or deed restriction be drafted by the City Attorney to require contributions from prop- ' erty owners along Duval Way for maintenance as a private road until such time as all properties are subdivided, at which time the road would then become a public road. In the discussion of paths, it was the opinion of the Commission that no paths be required at this time along Duval Way. Kenaady cont'd, RECOMMENDATION: That the Tentativ: F.ap O.`: lin•^•ert B. Kennedy (171-60) 5 lots be approved, subject to e.gea:y approvals and conditions of the Check List; that the Subdivider be given the opportunity of using the In Lieu Fath Fund if and when the plan is ap- proved and adopted by the Council, instead of constructing paths at this time. MOTION: Alter; SECOND: Hawley; VOTE: Passed unanimously VARIANCES: None. DI.V-SIGNS OF L.LIM: 1. Benson Walter A. 12' =60) - Request for Subd;_vision of 2 lots Ceder t'roviaions of Sect. III, Subsect. 3:40 of Ordinance No. 35. The Map Committee Chairman reported that there were no problems; that and existing building site is being enlarged. RECOMMENDATION: That the Map of Walter A. Benson (173-60) be approved as re- quested, under the provision of Sect. III, Suosect. 3:40 of Ordinance NO. 35. MG^_ION: alter; SECOND: Mellquist; VOTE: Passed unanimously FRELImiEigY DISCUSSION: 1. Deal Mr. R._(4 lots). Map of 5 lots, having access on Camino Hermosa and Fernhill Road. Dr. Janes Cross and Mr. Deal were present. The main problem noted is the restriction of approval of lots on private roads; -Fernhill has been dedicated, but not accepted by the Town. Following discussion of how the road would be maintained, the sug- gestion was male that this matter be deferred until after a meet- ing has been held to discuss private and public roads with regard to maintenance problems. The suggestion was made that a study session be held following the Planning Commission meeting on December 1, 1960 at which time the probler..s relative to public and private roads will be discussed. The Mayor, the City attorney, and the City Engineer L will be invited. Councilnen are also invited to attend this meet- ing.
