MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING

Chairman Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. in the
Town Hall Council Chambers,
A. ROLL CALL: Commissioners Lachenbruch, Stewart and Struthers
Present:

B. PUBLIC'
1. Lands of Tyler, File #VAR 10-82, 12800 Alta Verde Lane,
Variance request for a maximum twenty-four foot (24')
encroachment into the rear yard setback for solar racks
not to exceed twelve feet (12') in height.
Ms. Webb referred to her staff report of January 5, ix more
indicating the applicant is requesting placement of six
solar racks adjacent to eight existing racks, in reviewing
the app circumstances related to shape, topography,

Commission discussed the variance criteria noting
they cannot find exceptional circumstances and this request
could possibly violate the general plan. Commission informed
applicant they would like to see more information, new plans
more clearly defined, with all structures to scale and in the
proper locations (including the existing solar panels) and
to show all significant trees including the five monterey Qa\�4r
pines. Commission further noted they would like to see
a solution for solar racks that would give the applicant the
enerav needed, with less of an encroachment into the setback_ �F

submit landscape plan for screening of the solar collectors from
all off site vantage points."
