B. PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1. LANDS OF QUARRY HILLS, FILE NTM 1-87, Continued public hearing to
consider a zoning ordinance amendment
Ms. Zeff referred to staff report dated December 6, 1988 informing
Commission this is a continued public hearing to consider a zoning or-
dinance amendment on the Quarry Hills Development Project, noting the
zoning ordinance amendments in the staff report reflect the direction
from the Planning Commission at its last meeting. Ms. Zeff noted the
Open Space Reserve (OSR) zone is proposed to remain the same, with
minor word modifications to clearly state that no structures are
permitted; the Open Space Conservation combining (-c) zone has not
been changed from previous proposals; and a new zoning district has
been added called - Residential -Open Space.
The Public Hearing was then opened and closed with no one speaking for
or against this item.
Commissioners and staff discussed the County Zoning Ordinance require-
ments; minimum parcel size within OSR; open space reserve area uses
allowed; open space conservation combining zoning district; and the
addition of residential -open space (R -OS) district. Commissioners
noted staff report dated December 6, 1988 needs revision to show: No
parcel or lot shall have a net area less than 20 acres and shall have
%W a LUF greater than or equal to 20 within the OSR and R -OS zone dis-
tricts.
MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Jones, seconded by Patmore and
passed unanimously by those members present to recommend the revised
%
W staff report dated December 6, 1988 to City Council which reflects
alternative which received the most votes at the meeting of November
30, 1988.
