RESOLUTION NO. 52-89
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT FOR DISPOSAL OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE
BETWEEN THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AND
INTERNATIONAL DISPOSAL CORP. OF CALIFORNIA
AND TO WHICH THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA SHALL BE A
SIGNATORY, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 34-89
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, that
WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills has read and
considered that certain Agreement For Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste,
herein called the "Agreement" between the Town of Los Altos Hills and
International Disposal Corp. of California, a California Corporation, to
provide to Town recycling and long term disposal of solid waste produced
by Town's residents in the Newby Island sanitary landfill upon the terms
and conditions therein specified; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara desires to become a signatory to
the Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED as
follows:
1. Public interest and convenience require entering into the
Agreement described above and the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby

approves the Agreement and the County of Santa Clara also being a
signatory to the Agreement.
2. The Town of Los Altos Hills shall enter into, and the Mayor and City
Clerk of the Town of Los Altos Hills be, and they and each of them hereby
is authorized and directed on behalf of said Town, respectively, to execute
and attest the Agreement between the Town of Los Altos Hills and
International Disposal Corp. of California, but only when the City Manager
and City Attorney have determined that the Agreement is consistent with
the terms set forth in the report of Adminstrative staff to the City Council.
3. Resolution No. 34-89 adopted by the City Council on March 1, 1989,
be and it hereby is repealed and annulled.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 5th day of April, 1989.
