RESOLUTION NO. 62-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE
WHETHER PUBLIC NECESSITY, HEALTH, SAFETY. OR WELFARE
REQUIRES THE FORMATION OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY
DISTRICT ON A PORTION OF EL MONTE AVENUE
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, that
WHEREAS, Chapter 4 of Title 7 (Section 7-4.01, et seq) of the Los Altos
Hills Municipal Code establishes a procedure for the creation of Underground
Utility Districts and requires as the initial step in such procedure the holding
of a Public Hearing to ascertain whether public necessity, health, safety, or
welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated
overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities
for supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated services in
any such district; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that such an Underground Utility
District, hereinafter called "Underground Utility District No. 2", be formed
within the area described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED as follows:
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the
City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills on June 7, 1989, at the hour of
7:15 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road,
Los Altos Hills, California, to ascertain whether the public necessity, health,
safety, or welfare requires the removal of poles, overhead wires and
associated overhead structures and the underground installation of wires

and facilities for supplying electric, communication, or similar associated
service in the District hereinabove described.
2. At such Hearing all persons interested shall be given an
opportunity to be heard. Said Hearing may be continued from time to time
as may be determined by the City Council.
3. The City Clerk shall notify all affected property owners as shown on
the last equalized assessment roll, and utilities concerned of the time and
place of such Hearing by mailing a copy of this Resolution to such property
owners and utilities concerned at least ten (10) days prior to the date
thereof.
4. The area proposed to be included in Underground Utility District
No. 2 is shown upon that certain map entitled 'MAP OF UNDERGROUND
UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 2" which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the
Town of Los Altos Hills.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 17th day of May, 1989.

EXHIBIT "A"
All of the City street right-of-way, respectively, of El Monte Avenue
within the Town of Los Altos Hills extending from the intersection of
Summerhill Avenue to a point 900 feet, more or less, west of the
intersection of O'Keefe Avenue, together with the following described real
property in the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, to wit:
Lots 1, 2 and 3, Tract "2932, also known as 12784, 12790 and 12792 Normandy
Lane.
as shown and "Diagram n delineated on the map entitled of Underground
Utility District No. 2" approved by the Town of Los Altos Hills. •
