RESOLUTION NO. 72-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT
OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON JUNE 6. 1989
WHEREAS, by proceedings heretofore duly had and taken, a Special
Municipal Election was held in the Town of Los Altos Hills on June 6, 1989 in
accordance with the law, and the votes thereat received and canvassed, and
the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared in all respects as
required by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of
Los Altos Hills, as follows:
1. The City Clerk of the Town be and she is hereby instructed•to enter
this Resolution on the Minutes of this Council as a statement of the result of
said Election.
2. The total number of ballots cast in the Town at said Special
Municipal Election was 2495 ballots. No ballots were spoiled and not
counted.
3. At said Special Municipal Election the following Initiative Measures,
namely, Measures B and C were submitted to the electors of the Town and
the number of votes given in the Town for and against each such Measure
(including absentee votes) was as follows:

MEASURE (B): Shall the Initiative Ordinance of 1583 844
the Town of Los Altos Hills amending
the Town General Plan and Zoning Law
to restrict the number of single family
Upper Neary homes which could be built on lots having
Quarry Lands a minimum net area of ten acres each on
Development the Upper Neary Quarry Lands in the
Regulations and event of their annexation to the TOWN,
Limitations and prohibiting either clustering or
Initiative siting homes on ridgelines or hilltops,
limiting height,restricting maximum
development area and floor area,and
requiring dedication of conservation
easments, be approved?

Quarry Lands to restrict the number of single
Development family homes which could be built
Regulations on lots haing a minimum net area
and Limitations, of twelve acres on the Upper Neary
Neary Quarry Quarry Lands; prohibiting clustering
Closure and of homes and limiting maximum
Prohibiting Hall development and floor areas to 75
and Permanente percent of that allowed in Town's
Creek Water Residential-Agricultural Zoning
Initial Diversion District; requiring Neary Quarry
Closure; prohibiting initial
diversion of Hale or Permanente
Creek Waters to fill any man made
lake; prohibiting any dwelling on
Sensitive Upper Neary Quarry Ridge
Lands if any Neary Quarry Lands are
annexed to Town; and restricting
certain street connections,be adopted?

4. The number of votes cast in each precinct for and against Measures
B and C were as follows:

5. All absent voters ballots have been duly received and canvassed in
time, form and manner as required by law, and the result of the absent vote
for and against each of the Measures submitted at said Special Municipal
Election is as set forth above.
6. More than a majority of all the votes cast at said Special Municipal
Election on Measure (B) were for approval of said Measure, and Measure (B)
passed.
7. More than a majority of all the votes cast at said Special Municipal
Election on Measure (C) were against approval of said Measure, and Measure
(C) failed.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 13th day of June, 1989.
