RESOLUTION NO. 131-89
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
AND FILING OF A PROJECT APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL
ASSISTANCE IN CONNECTION WITH THE REPAIR OF
EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE AND DESIGNATING THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS AS AUTHORIZED AGENT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, that
WHEREAS, the Town of Los Altos Hills has requested through the State
of California federal financial assistance to repair damage to Town streets,
culverts, and public utility systems as a result of the earthquake which
occurred on October 17, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to make a subgrantee application to the
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for federal financial
assistance in connection with repair of damage incurred during the
earthquake on October 17, 1989, and to designate the Director of Public
Works as the Authorized Agent of the Town,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED AND ORDERED as
follows:
1. Public interest and convenience require the filing of the Application
described above and the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby approves the
Application.
2. The Director of Public Works is authorized to execute on behalf of
the Town and cause to be filed a "Project Application For Federal Assistance"
(herein called the "Application"), being Agreement No. FEMA - 845.
3, The Director of Public Works be and he hereby is designated as the
Authorized Agent of the Town of Los Altos Hills in connection with the

Application to provide all information and to execute all documents which
may be required in connection therewith.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 20th day of December, 1989.
