HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-85 • ® • RESOLUTION NO. 13-85 A RESOLUTION PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES ON TOWN OWNED PROPERTY ADJACENT TO O'KEEFE LANE BETWEEN SUNSET AND SUNRISE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills , County of Santa Clara, State of California, that WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to restrict parking on designated streets by Resolution pursuant to Subsection (d) of Section 4-3 .1004 of the Los Altos Hills Municipal Code when such area is indicated by appropriate signs; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22651 (n) , the City Council by resolution or ordinance may prohibit the parking of vehicles at designated locations and may authorize their removal when signs are posted giving notice of the removal, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows : 1. When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall at any. time between the hour of sunset on any day and the hour of sunrise on the next ensuing day, stop, park or leave standing any vehicle as that term is defined in the Vehicle Code of California, whether attended or unattended, on the parcel of real property con- sisting of 8 .124 acres, more or less, owned by the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills and described in that certain Director ' s Deed recorded on October 12, 1973 in Book 605 at Page 429 of the Official Records of Santa Clara County, and which property is contiguous to and southerly of the south line of that portion of O'Keefe Lane between a point 888 .15 feet east of the right of way line of Junipero Serra Freeway and the right of way line of Junipero Serra Freeway. When the parcel of real property described in Paragraph 1 is posted giving notice of the parking restriction and the signs also give notice that vehicles parked thereon will be towed away, any regularly employed and salaried officer of the Santa Clara County Sheriff 's Office, which furnishes all police protection services by contract to the City of the Town of Los Altos Hills, may remove or cause to be removed any vehicle parked or left stand- ing upon the above-described parcel of real property so posted. 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect as of the date on which signs are erected giving notice of the parking restrictionsdescribed in Paragraph 1 above and that vehicles parked on the real property described in Paragraph 1 above will be towed away.
