I very much appreciate your effort to keep the lines of communication open -- and appreciate Ski's efforts as well. My awareness of the asbestos issue, as I mentioned to Ski on Wednesday evening, relates to the fact that asbestos was still being incorporated into most construction in 1977, when the Ilnicki's house was built. Many times, demolition occurs without anyone ever having tested plaster, insulation, tiling, etc. for the presence of asbestos. The builder simply states that they are not aware of the presence of asbestos, and then the bulldozers come in. So, I am relieved by what I understand to be your and Mr. Ilnicke's assurance that this will not occur -- that, in fact, testing will be carried out prior to demolition, and all appropriate precautions taken. I know it's more expensive to remove material in a way that is safe for the neighborhood -- and I very much appreciate your willingness to commit to the testing that will be necessary to ensure that the demolition is conducted properly. Will you let us know who will carry out the testing? And please share the results when they are available? That would be a great reassurance, given that my family lives very close to the demolition site. One other question: my sixteen -year-old son is about to obtain his driver's license. There is a section of Julietta, fairly close to Altamont, with a blind curve -- which could be made exceptionally dangerous by the presence of heavy equipment and trucks. Is it possible to install a mirror on this section of the road during the construction period, so that accidents in this area could be averted? I think Ski mentioned that this is a private section of Julietta, so I'm not sure about the proper channels for putting this in place. Thanks again to all of you for maintaining such excellent communication with us -- and for your concern for the neighborhood's safety and well-being during demolition and construction. Ken and I greatly appreciate it. Most sincerely, Lane MacWilliams
