We oppose the issuing of permits and wavers for construction Lands of Johnson, at
241.82 Summerhill Ave. for the following reasons:
1. The size of thus project indicates that those of us living in the area will be
subjected to noise pollution and air quality degradation for what is likely to be
an extended period of time.
2. Summerhill is the only access to and from San Antonio and Magdalena for
homes up and down Summerhill. What provisions are being made to address
this problem? What happens to mail and other deliveries with heavy
construction and moving equipment blocking the road during the extent of this
project?
3. This is an unincorporated area, have all permits and wavers from the county
been issued and with what conditions?
4. There are creeks throughout the area that are protected; will the construction
have any impact on these creeks? Has the Water Department been notified and
permits obtained? Has there been any environmental impact studies conducted?
5. How will those of us living on cols -de -sac that only have access via
Summerhill, cope with vehicles of the workers and trucks and heavy equipment
blocking and damaging our street? Will these vehicles be left on our streets for
extended periods of time? Who will be responsible for the cost and repair of
such damage?
6. Summerhill is a narrow but major street also used for walking, jogging and
biking. Children play freely in the culs-de-sac and there are families with
children and dogs walking Summmerhill throughout the day and evening. Has
this been addressed? Who is liable for any accident or injuries that occur?
