WHEREAS on Aril 20 ` 1977. the ' Cit Council adopted P ,- Y . P
' Resolution 11:0,-. 1.02:7. approving and. authorizing: execution of an . -
' Agreement between the City and Los Altos- Garbage Company, and .
which :contained:._an, 'option;_torenew .thee. Agreement for a further ' . .
. period of five (_5) years, and Exhibit..."A" entitled "Rate Schedule
. . attached to the Agreement contained' the service rates then' .
. • approved `by .the" _City "Coun:c'il, and, .
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides that . the Rate Schedule may
be amended by Resolution of�`the City Council`; and '
WHEREAS,-on July 7 , .,1982 , .the Council adopted Resolution
. No. :1457 accepting the} exerdise by. Los Altos Garbage. Company .of, - . .
• . -its option to renew.-the Agreement for a further period of five '
(5) .-years , commencing as "of April 4 .1982 and approving and
- ,.au.thorizing ' the execution of an Addendum `to the,above-described
. :Agreement and
_-WHEREAS., heretofore. the . City . Council by adoption_ ofthe .
following Resolutions . amended the Rate Schedule as provided for . .

WHEREAS, the surcharge equal to 8 . 9 percent of the rates
to be changed for each class of service shown in the Rate
Schedule imposed by .Res. No. 1471 thereafter was repealed by '
Res. No. 1567 adopted by the City Council on •July 20 , 1983 ,
. NOW, THEREF-ORE', IT; IS HEREBY`FOUND, ORDERED AND DETERMINED
as follows : •
1. The City Council hereby, finds and determines that the
approved service rates contained in. the "Rate Schedule" should •
• be'..again increased because the cost of disposal of- all garbage,
swill, refuse and' waste 'material collected:within the' City at
the Mountain View LandfillSitehas increased.
2 . The schedule of approved service rates to be charged '
by Los Altos Garbage. Company' for services performed under the
Agreement be, and they hereby are amended as set forth in Exhibit
"A" entitled "Rate Schedule" , attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference, and to be effective as of July 1, 1984 .
. 3 . Resolution No. 1471 adopted by the City Council on
August 18 , 1982 be and it hereby is repealed.
REGULARLY passed and adopted this 201., day of June, 1984 . •

RATE 'SCHEDULE.
The following schedules of MONTHLY rates shall be the maximum charge
for the weekly collection ofgarbage, except as otherwise provided
herein, in Los Altos Hills :
