RESOLUTION NO. 597
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS
HILLS APPROVING THE CONCEPT OF A MEMORIAL TO THOSE WHO HAVE
SERVED THE NATION IN VIETNAM AND URGING SUPPORT THEREOF.
WHEREAS many residents of Santa Clara County have served
in Vietnam, some of them giving their lives in service of their
country, and
WHEREAS it has been proposed that a suitable memorial be
created, commemorating their service and sacrifice,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
Town of Los Altos Hills that said Council approves the concept
of a memorial to those who have served in Vietnam and urges
the support of the citizens for the efforts of the Vietnam
Memorial Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of
Los Altos Hills that the Council urges that consideration be given
to establishing such memorial in a living form.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the Town
of Los Altos Hills on May 4, 1970, by the following roll call
vote :
AYES : Councilmen Aiken, Davey, Grabowski, Helgesson
