MINUTES OF A RFGULAR MEETING
March 17, 1962
'�&e Regular Meeting of the Planning Commission of the Town of Los Altos
Hills was called to order by Vice -Chairman Arthur S. Alter Saturday,
March 17, 1962 at 9:13 A. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los
Altos Hills.
ROLI CALL: PRESENT: Commissioners Hawley, Hibner, Prentice, Vice -Chair-
man Alter, Commissioner Mellquist arrived 10:20 A� N.
ABSENT: Commissioners Garbett, Chairman Bowler
MINUTES: February 17, 1962.
ACTION:
Adopt Ninutes of Feb. 1.7, 1962 as submitted.
March 1, 1962.
Adopt Minutes of March 1, 1962 as submitted.
COMMUNICATIONS:
1. Santa Clara County Planning Commission & Zoning Adjustment - Minutes
of meeting.
2. John W. Riley - Letter, requesting preliminary discussion of property
of Melchor.
Deferred to the end of Igenda.

OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. New Road.
Mr. Tom Ford, from Stanford University Business Office, presented
plans for constnuctin� a new road, crossing Stanford lands and con-
necting Hillview Dr. Palo Alto) with Fremont RoAd (Los Altos Hills)
and subsequently abandoning W, Fremont Ave. ( between Junipero Serra
Blvd. and Fremont Road.
The Planning Commission expressed no objections.
VARIANCES:
1. Klevesahl V. '. (V-100-62) - Request for Reduction of Setback Re -

RECOMMENDATION:
That the Variance of V. E. Klevasahl (V-100-.62) be approved as
-omitted.
NOTION: Prentice; SECOND: Hawley; VOTE: Passed unanimously
'aW2, Davis, Merrick F. ( -101-62) - Request for Reduction of Setback Re-
quirement.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Variance of Merrick F. Davis (V-101-62) be approved as
submitted.
NOTION: Hibner; SECOND: Hawley; VOTE: Passed unanimously
DTVISIONS OF LAND:
1. Fremont Hills Country Club (217-62) 2 lots. Reversion to Acreage.
Engineer L. G. Brian.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Tentative Map of Fremont Hills Country Club (21? -62)
2 lots, reversion to acreqge, be approved.subject to dedication
of thirty feet (30') from Centerline of Purissima Road.
MOTION: Hawley; SECOND: Prentice; VOTE: Passed unanimously
2. Vincenti, Walter (218-62) 2 lots. Engr. J. Riley.
RECOI'Ll 1EYD AIL ON:
That the Tentative Nap of Idalter Vincenti (218-62) be approved
subject to conditions of the Check List and all agencies.

The Far was returned to the Engineer for revision.
Commissioner Yellquist arrived (10:20 A. N.)

The suggestion was made that the neighbors be consulted relative to
the substandard lot and future variance for building gite; that the
Map be on the Agenda for the next meeting.
New Business: cont'd.
2. Clive Tree Hills, Inc. - Path Requirement.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the request be forwarded to the Council to clarify the foot-
age of paths to be required; that the Planning Commission re-
commends payment irto the Fath Fund in lieu of construction of
paths.
MOTION: Nellquist; SECOND: Prentice; VOTE: Passed unanimously
