Bowler Saturday, August 18, 1962 at 9:13 A. M. at the Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Rd., Los Altos Hills, California ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Commissioners Alter, Hawley, Frentice, Chairman Bowler ABSENT: Commissioners Garbett, Hibner, Mellquist MINUTES: August 2, 1962. ACTION: Adopt Minutes of August 2, 1962 as submitted. MOTION: Alter; SECOND: Prentice; VOTE: Passed unanimously COMMUNICATIONS: 1. Ferrari, C. A. - Letter, dated August 7, 1962, requested reconsideration of his application for variance, discussed at the meeting of Aug. 2nd. The Chairman referred the request to the Map Committee, suggesting that an inspection be made and that the request for variance be on the ':.genda for the meeting of Sept. 6, 1962. 2. Richard 11. Towle - Letter of August 2, 1962 referred to the proposed extension of Hillview '.venue and the abandonment of West Fremont Avenue. The suggestion was made that Commissioner Hibner meet with the Council's Traffic Committee to discuss the proposed change. 3. Doak, R. S. - Letter, dated August 18, 1962, announced withdrawal of support of variance recommended with regard to the R. A. Bofwan Tenta- tive Map. Deferred to Divisions of Land - R. A. Bowan. OLD BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Equestrian Trails and Pedestrian Paths - Zone Map. ACTION: That the Zone Map for establishing Pedestrian Paths and Equestrian Trails be forwarded to the City Council for the purpose of hold- ing Public Hearings and that consideration be given to firming up these zones as they may be revised, and for the purpose of ex- pending Path Funds that have been collected on an in lieu basis. MOTION: Hawley; SECOND: Alter; VOTE: Passed unanimously -2 - ;' !RI RNCES: 1. Wilson Phyllis (UP -118-62) - Request for Secondary Dwelling. Mr. John Riley explained that the Tentative and Final Subdivision Maps of Tract No. 2811 have been approved, but that the Map has not been recorded. He explained that a portion of the property will be ac- quired by the State for the Junipers Serra Freeway. Mrs. Wilson's request is for permission to build a second dwelling on Lot No. 3. Relative to the southwesterly line of Lot #3, Mr. Riley explained that the boundary of Lot #3 will be determined at the time the freeway right-of-way is precised, and the land between the present lot #3 and the freeway right-of-way will become a portion of lot #3. RECO' 'ME^TD;LTI ON : That the request of Phyllis Wilson (UF -118-62) for permission to construct a secondary dwelling or. Lot #3 be granted, subject to the conformance with all setback regulations and conditions of the Final T?ap as approved by the Town Council. MOTION: Hawley; SECOND: :Alter; VOTE: Passed unanimously DIVISIONS OF I,".DTD: 1. Bowan, R. A. (214-62) 2 lots. Engr. John W. Riley. Mr. Riley explained that the property will be served by the Furissima Hills County Water District instead of the Furissima Mutual Water System as was previously planned; that the adjacent property owners-- Sondgroth, Hawkins, Holzclaw, and Doak will not be affected. Mr. H. Laughlin, representing the Furissima Mutual Water System stated that there were no objections. That the R. A. Bowan Tentative Map (214-62) 2 lots be approved, subject to the conditions of the Check List and the inclusion in the Purissima Hills County Water District and being served by the District. I"OTION: Prentice; SECOND: Hawley; Note appearing on the Map, relative to the request to record the Map as a Record of Survey, was questioned. Mr. Riley explained that, because no improvements are required, the expense would less to the subdivider. AMENDMENT: That the request for recordation of Map as a Record of Survey, in lieu of filing Subdivision Map, be granted. AMENDED BY: Prentice: SECOND: Hawley; VOTE: Passed unanimously 11�` lots. . Trumbull, Fred W. (238-62) 4 lots. Engr. John W. Riley. Mr. Riley explained that the State Division of Highways has purchase a portion of the six -lot subdivision, previously approved by the Town. :',t this time, with the freeway right-of-way established, Mr. Trumbull is requesting approval of a four -lot subdivision. question of dedications, public road, and easement was discussed. ="r. Riley explained that steps are being taken to have the road and ease- ments abandoned. Relative to the existing house, he said it would eventually be abandoned and that Lot #2 will be served from the private road. The Check List was completed by t'ne Chairman. RECOP,2`.3ND ^.TI ON: That the Subdivision Map of Tract No. 2376 of six lots and all dedications and easements be abandoned; that the Tentative Map of Fred W. Trumbull (238-62) 4 lots be approved, subject to conditions of the Check List. PMCTI07: Hawley; SECOP?D: .'Ater; VOTE: Passed unanimously 3. Ferris, Wm. (239-62) 3 lots. Engr. John W. Riley. Noted was fact that Lots 2 and 3 are substandard in dimensions. The Map was referred to the Map Committee with the suggestion that an on site inspection be made with Mr. Riley in order that a Map mightbe presented which will conform with the Subdivision Ordinance. 4. Fretz-Ciceroni (240-62) 6 lots. Engr. John W. Riley. The proposed road system to serve the subdivision was discussed, and Mr. Riley was asked to present another Map showing a private road to the Town's Private Road Standards, to be considered at the next meeting on Sept. 6, 1962.
