HomeMy WebLinkAbout569 110 4 RESOLUTION NO. 569 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS REQUESTING A STUDY OF THE BLACK MOUNTAIN, MONTEBELLO AND SKYLINE RIDGES AND FOOTHILL AREAS WHEREAS, the mountain mass, which is comprised of Black Mountain, Montebello and Skyline Ridges, is of tremendous importance to all of Northern Santa Clara County, and WHEREAS, this mountain area is presently viewed by at least a million County residents, and WHEREAS, this area provides a large and important recreation resource, which is so recognized by the Santa Clara County General Plan, and WHEREAS, the topography and drainage pattern of this area are very complex, with slopes as steep as fifty (50) per cent; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills urges the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors to request the Santa Clara County Planning Policy Committee to report on the feasibility of a comprehensive study of this area, which is not included in present studies of the Santa Cruz Mountains and Palo Alto Foothills, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills urges the County Board of Supervisors to take action so as to insure that the mountain area comprised of Black Mountain, Montebello and Skyline Ridges will not be assigned to any local jurisdiction until a report has been received from the Santa Clara County Planning Policy Committee on the feasibility of a comprehensive land use study for this area. * * * * * * * -* * * I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills held on January 19, 1970 by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmen Benson, Davey, Helgesson, Mayor Aiken.
