RESOLUTION NO. 395
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
LOS ALTOS HILLS RECOMMENDING CONSIDERATION AND
STUDY OF SLOPE/DENSITY Z(NING REGULATIONS
WHEREAS, this Council favors hillside development methods which
retain the natural environment to the greatest possible extent; and
WHEREAS, steepness of slope has been found to be a critical
factor in determining the density for a given hillside area; and
WHEREAS, a number of problems increase as the steepness of
slope increases, including vegetation ,removal, cutting and filling of
land, increased run-off, increased erosion, increased fire hazard,
and major changes in ecological balance; and
WHEREAS, slope/density regulations are now being studied for
adoption by the County of San Mateo Planning Commission, and other
Agencies,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ,RESOLVED, that this Council convey to the
Planning Commission their approval in principle of slope/density
regulations, and urge the Commission to study and review all aspects
of the regulations.

I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT the foregoing Resolution was adopted by
the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills at a regular meeting
of said Council held on the 1st day of May , 1967, by
the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen Benson, Davey, Aiken, Fowle, Mayor Henley
